Destroying The Wall.

As all punks and alternative rockers born later than Roger Waters, we hated The Wall too. So we have been pleased being invited by German Embassy and Goethe Institute in Prague to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin’s wall. It took place in Meet Factory, the club and art house echoing Berlin’s cultural genius loci of Tacheles and similar places, right at the D-Day, November 9. The ceiling was decorated with dozens of Douglas DC-3 aircrafts, the cargo bombarders, and the projections were illuminating the history of Berlin and Germany in last century. Huge inflatable bears made a concrete hall look more like a strange, post-apocalyptic playground. And the glittering stage was ready for our concert: disco ball and silver seventies background made a perfect essence of what DDR and BRD had common in the past in terms of a taste. The audience was big and so the party. We enjoyed both: the concert and the self-destroying after-p provided by DJ Call Me Radeq. And foremost. we are enjoying for more than 20 years the fall of the wall which took down the iron curtain for good. Hopefully.
