It’s good to have a chance to contribute to some charity/public interest event, especially when it’s not already occupied by Bono. Tomorrow we go to Pilsen to appear on the gig supporting Člověk v tísni organization and the “Anti-debt-day” supporting the idea of decreasing or wiping out the debts for the extremely poor countries. It’s going to be also the first concert with Kill The Dandies!, foregoing to 2nd of April at Lucerna Music Bar (next wednesday).

After a very long time we’ll come back in our set-list to the basics of The Prostitutes and we will perform also some brand new stuff.

We also added a date in Ústí na Labem. For the first time we are going to play in Mumie club, well known for the enlightenment & education nights hosted by our friend Slap You Plastics. The concert is dedicated to the first run of the Anton Corbijn’s film Control in the local cinema. Melodramatic version of this famous Manchester story seems to be pretty opposite to 24 hour party people, nut after some really mixed reviews, the film is getting popular especially among the Joy Division fans. We still didn’t see it trying to keep our minds open before we do so. We start after the film.

Concert for Bumbaris Paris: upcoming Monday 3.3., Olomouc

As you may already know, we are continuously supporting Bumbaris Paris project started by our friend Honza Trnka during his treatment when he was diagnosed with cancer almost two years ago. He decided to create an army to fight against cancer but foremost against its strongest helpers: ignorance, fear, superstitions and preconceptions about this serious but very prolific disease. Many artist and especially bands became an integral part of the army serving as evangelists thanks to their mic’s and powerful amplifiers.

For upcoming Monday, 3. March, guys from Dorian Gray’s Prostitutes organized a concert in AMC club in Olomouc to raise some new soldiers for upcoming battles of the future. The Prostitutes, Roe-Deer, Dorian Gray’s Prostitutes, Narcotic Fields and others are going to share the stage to unleash a furious party to intimidate our common enemy!

Join us! We can guarantee a great night and you will help by the way just by showing up! What a deal!

The riot starts at 7 PM. Don’t miss it.

We decided to come up with a new single in couple of weeks. One song is already recorded and is going to be edited, mixed and mastered, the second is going to be recorded in a while. One song you know, one you don’t.

We do plan some gigs, so stay tuned. In couple of days we will confirm first club dates as well as some first summer festivals. We are also going to play a charity gig for our beloved Bumbaris Paris, announced while it will be finally confirmed, and 26. March (finally some real confirmed date) we will play in Plzeň, Pod lampou, together with Kill The Dandies (looking forward!).

Adrian and his wife Bianca invited me and Eleonora and our children to a cottage in a mountains for couple of days. We nod with a pleasure and we go. And we are taking all the recording stuff with us. We have a lot to record, so hopefully we will nail couple of tracks during our stay. “Yes, but we will have to ski as well.” says Adrian and I nod with a recording machine hidden in my ski-gloves.

After two months, the Ric is back from a service, being in a better condition than ever. God bless Mr. Kobrle! New acquisition is the Moog Little Phatty. The best sounding analog beast (you can afford) and you know what, I don’t mind the name!

Concert for Bumbaris Paris

Yesterday evening in Rock Cafe was dedicated to Bumbaris Paris, a foundation supporting patients with cancer diagnosis. The concert was a starting point of a new project leading to a publishing of a Charity Sampler CD later this year. The CD will be produced by Martin Destroyer and Honza Muchow and published by Championship Records.

Three bands participated on the opening concert: Roe-Deer, Living Room and Dorian Gray’s Prostitutes. The first two are well-known Czech indie rock bands, the third is a relatively new act from Třinec who may become famous one day. Unfortunately, Dorian’s singer was hospitalized with an acute appendicitis a day before the concert. Despite of this little disaster, the band got a very warm reaction from the audience. You may check Dorians live in Prague still this month in Vagon on September 28, hopefully in full setup. The video below contains last few bars of their yesterday show and could serve as an invitation for the next gig.
