During the weekend, we will do our first shows in 2010. We really loved the atmosphere on our semi-acoustic X-mass gig in December so we will start 2010 in a same way. Vice Gallery is the right place to go on Friday, February 12th. We will perform our biggest hits re-dressed into a Johnny Cash’s country coat. Start at 19:00. And yes, it’s for free!

Only a day later, on Saturday 13th, we move to Pardubice to take part in Zimní Studnice Fest. This time we will load the van with full backline in order to produce our well-known destructive sound wall. Accompanied by 6 other bands, we will rock the stage in L-klub. We play at 20:30.

After three years, one album and more than a hundred concerts, Šmity is leaving the band. He helped the band in the moment we needed it the most and he elevated some of our skills to new heights. We would like to thank him for all this and we wish him well. Let all his dreams and plans come through smoothly and fast!

The very last concert together with Šmity will be next week in U-Klub Olomouc, 9/12/2009. Come to salute him. As a guests we proudly present Genius Mess Poets and DJ squad The Fakes (DJ Sin vs. Destroyer set). The evening will be powered by our deer friend Jagermeister.

We would like to announce that the new member of The Prostitutes who is going to take bass duties on a regular basis is Adam Piaf Vopička, lead singer and guitarist of Prague’s indie-outfit Fake Tapes. You’ve had already a chance to see him playing with us on many concerts during this year when Šmity was touring with Black Lips. Adam, welcome on board and we wish you to maintain your young blood in a companion of mature prostitutes.

The Prostitutes ‘Hunting for Zombies Tour 2009′ is starting!

The whole tour will be opened tonight (Friday 25th) in Music Club Kotelna in Litomyšl. After the afterparty and maybe few minutes of sleep we move to Bastion No. 35 in Jaroměř. The club is celebrating its 2nd anniversary on Saturday 26th and for sure it will be a long and hard night too. We will be accompanied on stage by -123 min. and UDG.

Spanish Bombs in Retro

Dvě španělské kapely – Tokyo Sex Destruction a Möno – se představí na jedinečném trojkoncertu Spanish Bombs, který proběhne 14. května v Retro Music Hall.

Hostiteli budou The Prostitutes, kteří mají za sebou již úspěšnou spolupráci se španělskou kapelou Cat People, se kterou odehráli sérii koncertů ve Španělsku a v ČR v letech 2006 a 2007. Koncert je organizován ve spolupráci a za finančního přispění Španělského velvyslanectví a Instituto Cervantes.

Two Spanish bands - Tokyo Sex Destruction and Möno – will take part on a unique concert evening Spanish Bombs on May 14 in Retro Music Hall.

The evening will be hosted by The Prostitutes, who already succesfully co-operated with a Barcelona-based band Cat People in 2006 and 2007. The concert is organized with the support of Spanish Embassy and Instituto Cervantes.

New season starting today in Pilsen.

Today,
we will open a new epoch in the band’s history. The Prostitutes were touring for more then three years with a set mainly based on material from their first album Get Me Out Of Here. We closed this period in Rock Cafe in December. Today, we will present live for the first time a set-list built from the main part on Hometown Zombies album (still available together with March issue of Filter magazine). But don’t worry, we keep your favourite older songs on list as well.

The show will take place at Cafe Andel, Pilsen. The doors will be open from 21:00. See you there!
